Ms. Emma Jean Robinson

In 1966, a friend called on Ms. Robinson to help with community organizing-an invitation that marked the beginning of over 40 years of service with the City of Chicago. She retired in 2012 but continues to touch countless lives.

For Ms. Robinson, the West Side is a vibrant, diverse community filled with potential. Her dream is to see every resident take full advantage of free, quality education as a pathway to better opportunities, well-paying jobs, and entrepreneurship

Now 90 years young, Ms. Robinson is still going strong and has no intention of stopping. She remains committed to helping others for as long as the Lord allows.Kudos to Ms. Emma Jean Robinson-your love, strength, and tireless service continues as an incredible mark on the heart and history of Chicago’s west side.
