One Good Deed Chicago!

One Good Deed Chicago, in partnership with Friends of the Parks, will host the day of service on October 22. Volunteers will mulch trees, pull weeds and pick up trash at Chicago's historic 218-acre Douglas Park. Additional activities and a possible rain plan will be announced closer to the event date. Volunteers will be treated to light breakfast and a box lunch.

The event is also an opportunity to highlight One Good Deed Chicago's new plan and priorities under Mayor Rahm Emanuel's administration. Residents can register to volunteer by visiting www.goodgrows.eventbrite.com

If you cannot join us for our Make A Difference Day event, we invite you to host a service project of your own in your ward. You can sponsor a park clean up, paint a room at your local community center, or host a coat or food drive for local residents. The possibilities are endless.

If you would like to register your project with One Good Deed, please contact Jamie Ricks at 312-744-9514 or jamie.ricks@cityofchicago.org. We would be happy to share your project information on our website, with volunteers, and with our partner non-profit organizations.

We look forward to serving the City of Chicago together with you on October 22.
